Focusing on villages with good basic conditions, such as the surrounding areas of cities and towns, scenic spots, main roads and "one lake, two streams and three rivers", Chenzhou City has promoted the clean rural action, and implemented the construction tasks of village greening, rural domestic waste treatment and "toilet revolution". The city level and two districts have focused on the upgrading of Chenzhou Avenue beautiful rural demonstration belt and the construction of "one line and two pieces" (along the Xihe River, Feitianshan area, Wanhuayan-Siqing Lake area); other counties and cities have focused on the construction of one beautiful rural demonstration belt (piece) that drives more than 10 administrative villages; each county and city has chosen one township to carry out the whole beautiful rural construction.

By 2020, the city will have 11 new characteristic towns at or above the provincial level, 24 new beautiful rural demonstration villages at the provincial level and 120 new beautiful rural demonstration villages at the municipal level, 11 beautiful rural demonstration belts (pieces), more than 10 towns meeting the standards for promoting the construction of beautiful rural areas in the whole region, one county and city meeting the standards for promoting the construction of beautiful rural areas in the whole region, 75 percent of villages basically meeting the requirements for the construction of new rural areas. More than 90 percent of the demonstration towns and villages have been afforested, more than 95 percent of the domestic waste has been centrally disposed, and 170000 "four format" ecological toilets have been added.
